  1. What is recommended to make a hot rods +5 crank last?

Yeah, its success stories like this.... Also had a stock crank sieze one me. Sent from my GT-P7500 using Tapatalk 2
  2. What is recommended to make a hot rods +5 crank last?

I am not convinced the Hotrods is a junk crank. Its value for money and more success storiesmrhan failures. Thatnis with nothing done to the crank. I now have 20 fairly hard hours on mine and so far so good. A builder has told me not to sit on the rev limiter a lot with the +5 Hotrods, something about the harmonics at that speed. Been following his advice and all been good so far. Sent from my GT-P7500 using Tapatalk 2
  3. Another "Hustler" bike in the works.....

Brett are those ARP cylindet studs and nuts holding the jug onto the cases? Did not know those were available. Sent from my GT-P7500 using Tapatalk 2

  6. Should I get a 700?

Almost the weight of my backpack whilst riding. Sent from my GT-P7500 using Tapatalk 2
  7. raptor 350 build. Is it worth it?

The Raptor 250 is a fair amount physically smaller then the Raptor 350. At 6´2´´ and 253 lbs I can ride the 350 fairly comfortably. Dont think that will be the case on a 250, as it is more for small people or kids.
  8. raptor 350 build. Is it worth it?

No, its not really worth it, unless you really want to do it. I am going through something similar on my wifes 350. It was a birthday gift and has sentimental value, so we will never rid of it. I have on order a Cycle Works Racing 400cc kit, some Works Racing Front Shocks. After already havinf forked out a ton of money on Flex Bars, HMF, etc..... Its a money pit very quickly for something that will never be fast. Make no mistake, i love the 350 and often take it for a ride, its nice and light compared to the 700 so its nice on tight trails where you cant go fast. Its so light compared to the 700 it almost feels like you are on holiday when you ride it, no real effort involved! But trust me, if you want proper performance, the 350 is not the way to go or worth the money. For sentimental value or as part of a collection of bikes, maybe yes......... If you want raw, animalistic power and prepared to spend some money, the 700 is the way to go.

  11. Seized Crank Pin Bearing

Thanks Twister, for the advice. Much appreciated. Good to hear its a common occurence. Bike has 188 hrs on it since new. Sent from my GT-P7500 using Tapatalk 2
  12. Seized Crank Pin Bearing

Before I removed the head, I did an endoscopic inspection to assess the damage before hand. This is what I used. So I could get a look into the exhaust ports to look at the valves. Good to see no bent stems. Also, through the trottle body butterfly. With the intake valves open I could see into the combustion chamber, see the exhaust valve closed on its seat. This is when I realised my damage would be minimal. It turned out only the lower rod bearing seized. Sent from my GT-P7500 using Tapatalk 2
  13. Seized Crank Pin Bearing

Yesterday out on the trail my engine seized. I stripped it all down and found no damage besides the crank pin bearing (lower rod bearing). Is this a common issue on stock cranks? Sent from my GT-P7500 using Tapatalk 2
